Yinka Dawodu is a Chartered Insurer with experience cutting across Reinsurance, Underwriting, Claims, Marketing and broking. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Insurance and MBA from The Federal University of Technology, Akure.

He is also an Associate members of The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers. Yinka was awarded the best offices’ representative by The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 2006 in recognition of his contributions to the sub-committee of the Institute.

He started his career with American International Insurance Company Limited now Aiico Insurance Plc, in 1995 as motor underwriter and later pioneered its Reinsurance Department in 1997. He has worked with various Companies such as Cornerstone Insurance Plc, Alliance & General Insurance Ltd, Prime Touch Insurance Broker and Glanvill Enthoven Reinsurance Brokers Ltd as the DGM/Chief Operating Officer from where he joined Africa Re as Treaty and Facultative Underwriter. He is currently a Senior Manager, Underwriting at Africa Re. Yinka is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School of The Pan Atlantic University.

He has attended both local and international courses and seminars on Reinsurance, Insurance Underwriting, Insurance Accounting, Executive Management, Ethics, Corporate governance and leadership.
