The establishment of Cairo Regional Office was part of the management vision to extend the presence of Africa Re across the continent , consequently at the end of 2001 a representative office was opened The regional office establishment agreement with the Host Government was ratified by Parliament on 10th October 2004. The office was upgraded to a full regional office in July 2005.
The Regional Office is dedicated to look for the North East Africa which is designated as Domestic business, and Middle East region which is designated as International. This serves a wide area of 16 countries as follows:-
